On line learning

Learning on line is really a great priveledge. Having facilities at a school is a great oppotunity to develop learners to their full potential in this everchanging technological world.
Although very new and somewhat unfamiliar to me to assess in an online environment it is also exciting and I look forward to it. With children you need to be on top of your game and not expect to be perfect from the word go. It is a learning process. The fact that I get to practice first and sharpen my skills with this course is great. I also realise my responsibility to lead the rest of my staff in this new experience.
In a school it is a joint effort from everybody. Firstly from teachers who must provide notes(class and homework), lesson details, homework tasks, assessment deails, dates of assessment(assesment plans) date of meetings etc. This is used to communicate with parents and can replace newsletters and phonecalls. Parents can be involved in their child's education and  do not have an excuse for not knowing or learners who don't give letters to parents. For both parents and learners it can also be used for revision and practice of their schoolwork. This mean if a child don't understand the parent can pick it up immediatly and ask the teacher to explain or give assistance. Marks can also be posted as continuous assessment progress through the year and parents know how their child is performing every step of the way. Parents can immediatly be notified of school attendance or rather non-attendace or late coming for school, and parents can let the school know of any sickness or happenings.   Admin staff also needs to be more attentive as the responsibility of posting and updating infromation will mostly be theirs.
Online learning and technologies available at school can also assist those learners who do not have it at home in finding information and recources.
To also get viewpoints of others is also very nice and interesting as this help you to better understanding and of course the freedom to get information, work, notes etc at any time and in any pace.
